Ireland fast bowler, Joshua Little, has been reprimanded and handed one demerit point by the match referee Phil Whitticase after he violated the ICC Code of Conduct during the second ODI against England at the Ageas Bowl on Saturday (August 1).

The charge was related to "using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match".The incident took place in the 16th over of the second innings, when Little upon dismissing English opener Jonny Bairstow used "inappropriate language" towards him.

Little admitted to the Level One offence and accepted the sanction awarded without contesting the charges. Four or more of such demerit points within a 24-month period attracts a ban.

England currently lead the three-match ODI series 2-0 with the third and final match to be played on Tuesday (August 4) at the Ageas Bowl.
