T20 is a game of thrill, excitement, and unpredictability. And that's what previous week of IPL 2020 has been. We've seen a lot of close encounters, high scoring run fests, and certainly a lot of activity in the points table.

RCB

The week started with Royal Challengers Bangalore up against Delhi capitals. As expected, DC came out as a better side and won clinically by 59 runs at the Dubai International Stadium. But guess how this week started? RCB outcompeting KKR in all departments and winning the match by a whopping 82 runs which bought their campaigns right on track. That's competitiveness, unpredictability, and sports at its finest level.

The second match, or the 20th match of the season, saw Mumbai convincingly defeating Rajasthan by 57 runs at Abu Dhabi. The match also show Surya Kumar Yadav knocking at the doors of Indian selectors with his 79 off 47 deliveries. Jasprit Bumrah also returned to his prime for with 4-0-20-4. So exclude him from your fantasy team at your own risk.

The third match was the epitome of a thriller. KKR marginally defeating CSK by 10 runs and shocking the who cricketing fraternity following IPL. CSK needed 39 off 18 with wickets in hand, but at one point they were cruising with 90-1 at the midway chasing 168. A brilliant display of captaincy from DK and equal brilliant execution from the KKR bowlers, especially their spin twins: Narine and Varun Chakravarty.

The next match saw a complete domination with SRH literally humiliating KXIP with a 69 runs win. Bairstow showed why he's of the best T20 players as he scored 90 off 55 deliveries.
In response, KXIP could only put on 132 on the board. But the innings of Nicholas Pooran was a standout as he scored the fastest half century of IPL 2020 in 17 balls. So don't exclude him from your betting strategy either.

Coming on to the next match on Friday, it was between RR and DC which many would have though RR would win since it was at Sharjah. It was the same venue where Rajasthan chased down 200 one and defended 200+ score the other time. But DC braved the odds and clinched the match by 46 runs. Delhi surely looking favorites for this year.

The weekend double headers were equally thrilling. The first double header on Saturday was between KKR and KXIP which saw KKR escaping by 2 runs. In the second double header, it was RCB once again winning it against CSK by 37 runs.

SRH

The second double header on Sunday was between SRH and RR. Rahul Tewatia was once again in the focus as he resurrected his team and helped his team win in the last ball. Scoring 45 off 28, he was accompanied by youngster Riyan Parag who smashed 42 off 26 and a Dhoni-style last ball six finish.

The last match of the week was between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, the clash between the table toppers. Mumbai won the thriller in the penultimate ball and 5 wickets to spare.

We've now reached the halfway stage of the tournament and expect competition to go up.
