New Zealand V/s West Indies 2nd Test Day 2 Prediction

Are we at Wimbledon? It certainly seems so, looking at the raging green top on offer at the Basin Reserve in Wellington for the 2nd Gillette Test match between the West Indies and New Zealand. Albeit putting New Zealand into bat first on a green top, the Caribbean bowlers could not capitalise a lot as New Zealand ended Day 1 at 296/6, which is already a par total on this wicket. Henry Nicholls will resume his batting on Day 2 at 117 not out after a brilliant performance on the first day.

Who are the favourites?

New Zealand is the firm favourite to win this match. After winning the 1st Test match, their confidence is sky-high and they will look forward to replicating their heroics from the first Test match. Henry Nicholls has scored a fine ton and is not out on 117 at the end of Day 1 on a raging green top. If he can make it count on Day 2, the West Indies is in for a long day in the field.

Scorecard Predictions

New Zealand will score 400/10 and the West Indies will end Day 2 at 110/6.

Toss Prediction

Expect the captain winning the toss to bowl first, given that the pitch will offer plenty for the pacers first up. If the skies are overcast, there is another reason to put the opposition to bat first. The pitch will flatten out as the match progresses.

Market Odds (as of 11:00 A.M. IST, 11th Dec 2020 )

Expect a tough clash betwixt two very strong teams and New Zealand to emerge triumphantly.
