Heavy, incessant rain prevented Warwickshire and Worcestershire from taking the field on Day 3 of the LV County Championship match being played at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham. While the players prayed for the Rain Gods to retract, there was no respite all day. That is the unpredictability of England's summer weather for you. Both teams would hope that play would be possible on the ultimate day of the competition. If these 2 sides could play competitive cricket despite the likelihood of a draw, it would be pleasing for the audience.

The Match Preview

Venue: Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham, the United Kingdom
Date: 6th to 9th May 2021
Time: 3:30 P.M. IST onwards

The Pitch Report

The Edgbaston pitch is bound to offer plenty of seam and swing movement for pacers throughout the match duration. It is early summer in the United Kingdom, and the Dukes cherry often seams and swings prodigiously. Expect plenty of grass cover on the pitch to aid pacers. Spinners might come to the fore later in the game, provided that the weather remains sunny and warm which would dry the pitch out. Expect little turn if the weather remains warm and sunny. Batsmen need to play close to their body and avoid driving on the up.
