Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant were named by Sanjay Manjrekar as the two Indian batsmen who could alter the outcome of the WTC final. Kohli enjoys a challenge, according to Manjrekar, and is able to pull out his "A game" in Tests when the stakes are high. "With the bat, Virat will be India's game changer. Testing seems to bring out the best of him, so there's no need to expect anything different this time. Virat, too, dislikes the sluggish, seaming conditions of New Zealand, but he knows England would be a better version of what he saw a year ago in New Zealand,” Manjrekar added.
"Rishabh Pant will be the game changer No. 2 with the bat. If New Zealand thinks they are done with Indian batting after picking the top five, they would have made the biggest mistake of their lives, which could cost them the game,” Sanjay Manjrekar said.
In their last six Tests away from home, India has struggled to defeat New Zealand. However, considering how they demolished Australia and England earlier this year in the longest format, the Asian giants will be assured heading into the WTC final.
