womens2.jpgPrediction for the match.

England women won the ODI series against India women 2-1. That loss in the third ODI would have been disappointing for the hosts since it allowed INdia to build some important momentum. As the number of overs of a match gets reduced, the difference between teams starts becoming lesser. This means there is a good chance of an upset in the T20 format.

Both England and India have some very exciting players and we are going to try to help you find the best betting opportunities in this series.

Avg first inning score: 180 runs (Only a single match has been played here)

Records of chasing teams.

Won - 0

Lost - 1

Tied - 0

Final Prediction: England Women to win the match.

1) If England Women won the toss and opted to bat first, they could score 160-170 runs.

2) If India Women won the toss and opted to bat first, they could score 150-160 runs.

Secondary Predictions.

1) Shaifali Verma to be the best run scorer for India Women.

Shafali Verma has been a sensation for India. T20I is a format she enjoys the most and we’ll back her to be India’s top scorer.

2) Natalie Sciver to be the best run scorer for England Women.

Natalie Sciver was England’s top scorer in the ODIs with 142 runs in 3 games. She is expected to carry on his good run and can be backed as England’s top scorer.

3) Over 149.5 runs in the first inning.

Both teams have pretty solid batting and the surface is good to bat. A 1st inning team total of over 150 can be expected.

Match Preview.

England women will take on India women in the T20I series. The match will be played at the County Ground, Northampton and is set to get underway at 11:00 PM IST.

England beat India by 4 wickets in the last completed T20I between the two teams.

India will miss the services of Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami who have retired from the shortest format of the game. Beyond doubt, it will create a hole for the visitors.

Shafali Verma is the top run-scorer for India with 303 runs from her last 9 matches at an average of 33 and a strike rate of 155. Smriti Mandhana has also made 181 runs at a strike rate of 148 from her last 8 matches.

Poonam Yadav has been the best bowler for India and has picked up 10 wickets from her last 6 matches while bowling at a strike rate of 13 and an economy rate of 6 00. Radha Yadav has also picked up 9 wickets from her last 6 matches.

Tammy Beaumont is the top run-scorer for England  with 222 runs from her last 9 matches at an average of 24 and a strike rate of 109. Nat Sciver has also made 202 runs at a strike rate of 109 from her last 9 matches.

Sophie Ecclestone has been the best bowler for England  and has picked up 14 wickets from her last 9 matches while bowling at a strike rate of 14 and an economy rate of 4.67. Sarah Glenn has also picked up 14 wickets from her last 9 matches.

England team will be boosted by the return of destructive batsman Danni Wyatt. She along with Tammy Beaumont form a strong opening pair. Heather Knight, Natalie Sciver, Amy Jones were in fine form in the ODIs and will be looking to continue their good run. Sophie Ecclestone, Sarah Glenn, Katherine Brunt complete a very strong team.

Pitch and weather report.

There is some rain around in Northampton and that could be a problem for spectators. The pitch in Northampton is generally flat and good for batting. There is no reason to suggest it is going to be any different this time around.

Venue: County Ground, Northampton.

Team News.

England Women>>

England has a pretty strong batting lineup for the T20 series. Tammy Beaumont has been in terrific form and Heather Knight is one of the best players in this format. Her all-round skills make her a very good candidate for player of the match performances, although, that is a very risky betting market to bet on.

Danielle Wyatt, Fran Wilson, and Mady Villiers are also very good batters and add to the depth of the English team.

Katherine Brunt and Nate Sciver are both all-rounders that can be banked upon to contribute with the ball and with the bat. These are the kind of players that India misses in its lineup and they help add so much balance to the entire team.

Sophie Ecclestone is one of the best bowlers in the world in any format but especially T20 cricket. Her control over the flight of the ball makes her a potent wicket-taker. Anya Shrubsole and Sarah Glen are perhaps the other two bowlers that will find a palace in the eleven.

Possible XI: Tammy Beaumont, Lauren Winfield, Natalie Sciver, Heather Knight, Sophia Dunkley Brown, Amy Ellen Jones, Sarah Glenn, Katherine Brunt, Anya Shrubsole, Sophie Ecclestone, Kate Cross.

India Women>>

India’s hopes are going to take a bit of a beating since Mithali Raj, easily their best batter in the ODI series, is not going to be a part of the squad for the T20 series. In addition, the continuing poor form of Harmanpreet Kaur is adding a lot of pressure on the team.

She needs to score some runs fast otherwise the team may be forced to make some tough decisions.

A lot rests on the shoulders of Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma. These two are aggressive openers that can help win a match in the matter of a few overs. How these two end up playing is going to determine how India does in this match.

We think betting on Shafali Verma to hit three or boundaries is an excellent betting option for this match.

The back batting to these two is a bit thin. Sneh Rana has emerged as a potential ‘finisher’ but she has yet to prove herself in that role.

Possible XI: Shafali Verma, Smriti Mandhana, Mithali Raj, Punam Raut, Deepti Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur, Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey, Pooja Vastrakar, Taniya Bhatia, Ekta Bisht.

England Women: Heather Knight (c), Tammy Beaumont, Katherine Brunt, Freya Davies, Sophia Dunkley, Sophie Ecclestone, Tash Farrant, Sarah Glenn, Amy Jones, Nat Sciver, Anya Shrubsole, Mady Villiers, Fran Wilson, Danni Wyatt.
