Prediction for the match.
Birmingham Phoenix do head into this encounter under pressure, their captain Moeen Ali is a cool customer and his team won’t be panicking. A large partisan Edgbaston crowd will no doubt play their part here and whilst the unbeaten Trent Rockets will understandably be favourites, it’s worth remembering that Moeen’s men have won their only contest so far on home turf. A pitch will no doubt be prepared in a way that suits the requirements of the Phoenix and with the explosive Livingstone having shown signs of replicating his recent international form in their last match, he may play a key role for the home side with the bat. It’s only a matter of time before the Birmingham Phoenix top order fires in a big way and it would be no surprise if it comes on their own ground. Providing the bowlers play their part by cutting out the wides and no balls. We expect Birmingham Phoenix to put in another strong performance after they went big with the bat but still lost against Southern Brave. However, Trent Rockets are flying in the Men’s Hundred and we don’t expect Birmingham Phoenix to stop them in this match.

Final Prediction: Trent Rockets to win the match.
1). If Birmingham won the toss and opted to bowl first, Trent could score 150-170 runs.
2). If Trent won the toss and opted to bowl first, Birmingham could score 145-165 runs.
Secondary Predictions.
1). D’Arcy Short to be the best run scorer for Trent Rockets.
Australian opener D’Arcy Short is one of the leading run scorers in the tournament with 134 runs. He is a good tip for Trent Rockets’ highest run scorer in this match.
2). Liam Livingstone to be the best run scorer for Birmingham Phoenix.
Liam Livingstone has had a breakthrough summer with England and is clearly enjoying his cricket. He made an unbeaten 68 from 44 balls on Friday evening and is a good bet for Birmingham Phoenix’s leading run scorer in this game.
Match Preview.
Birmingham Phoenix and Trent Rockets meet at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Sunday afternoon. The home side won their opening game against London Spirit at home but have since lost away at Manchester Originals and Southern Brave. Trent Rockets have won all three of their matches, defeating London Spirit, Northern Superchargers and Southern Brave. This match gets underway at 14:30.
Birmingham Phoenix was one of the highly favored teams of the Hundred but it has not got the initial success that it probably expected. This next match is going to be against the Trent Rockets, a team that is unbeaten with three wins from three matches.
Birmingham Phoenix has two of the best white ball players in England leading its charge in Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone. unfortunately, neither of them has really lived up to expectations and the rest of the players have not stepped up either. At this point in the Hundred, only Livingstone has one fifty to his name and is also the only batsman to have hit more the two sixes in the entire tournament.
Miles Hammond, Finn Allen, Daniel Bell-Drummond, and Christopher Benjamin have been far too inconsistent to be able to make a real difference. This is not a batting lineup that you want to count out, though. One of these players could easily turn it around and play a match-winning knock.
The bowling attack is quite good with Imran Tahir, Liam Livingstone, Adam Milne, and Moeen Ali in there. We think Birmingham Phoenix just needs a bit of luck going its way to be able to get back to winning ways.
Trent Rockets have been very good in the Hundred so far with three wins from three matches. They have found different players to contribute for them when it matters the most. Rashid Khan and Alex Hales are two names that spring to mind when you think of players that have led the way for the Trent Rockets so far.
Dawid Malan, Darcy Short, and Lewis Gregory ensure that the team has enough depth in it to be able to withstand the loss of early wickets and also be fearless enough to play with freedom.
Merchant de Lange has been outstanding with the ball and has eight wickets so far. He has been quick and surprisingly accurate as that is not something he is known for. With Rashid Khan and Samit Patel taking control of the middle part of the match with spin, Trent Rockets are well-suited for any conditions they may come up against.

Birmingham Phoenix>>
The Midlands’ side will be delighted to return in front of their passionate home fans after two defeats on the road. After posting 151-3 in Southampton, they would have thought they would go on and win the game. Expect the batting of Livingstone and team-mates to be even more aggressive in this match.the 87 all out from 84 balls against Manchester Originals looks to have been a one-off. Overall they are playing good cricket but must start to get over the line again and register some more wins.

It’s a simple winning equation from Trent Rockets of the batsmen making regular runs and all the bowlers chipping in with valuable wickets.
