St Lucia Kings

St Lucia Kings have further depreciated its standing, as this Faf du Plessis led franchise carries a load of two consecutive setbacks plucked against Warriors and Tallawahs. In the preceding square-off against Jamaica Tallawahs, Kings surrendered their inning 55 runs short while chasing-down next to impossible target of 212 runs. Andre Fletcher, Mark Deyal and Roston Chase had decent starts but couldn’t accelerate them to a T20I defining inning. With a 50-50 share of win and loss in eight-match trek, now Kings are diminished to fourth spot and need to pull up the socks, as they have only two schedules to prove their worth.

Kings will be eager to regain the lost momentum in last two schedules, as clinching 100% winnable track-record in these two schedules will definitely pacify their playoff conduct. After procuring maiden CPL ton, skipper Fad du Plessis has flopped to deliver any notable contribution and needs to lead from the front in the concluding phase. Samit Patel, Mark Deyal and Tim David need to bat in fifth-gear in middle and death overs. David Wiese should also be trusted as the bowling all-rounder option in the next two schedules.

Barbados Royals

Barbados Royals are having a compromised CPL campaign, as the Royals are permanently resting at the bottom-most spot since the start of CPL 2021. After gaining some momentum with a considerable win against Warriors, Royals round-again to square-one with a 6-wicket disappointment against defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders. In the battle-out, Royals managed to score just 93 runs while batting first and Riders confidently walk-over the target with six wickets to spare. K Mayers with 24 runs knock leads the batting show whereas Mohammad Amir and Joshua Bishop with 2-wicket each charmed the bowling line-up.

In CPL 2021 campaign, Jason Holder has failed as a skipper miserably. While Kyle Mayers endorsed some intent in the opening pair, none of the other batsmen performed as per their caliber. Their bowlers have put-up a reasonably good show to excite in some of the matches, but overall looked hopeless with no assistance from the team’s batters. Both departments need to come under the same roof and perform their heart-out to facilitate some warm memories before waving-off the drills.

Topbets Prediction

The upcoming fixture of CPL 2021 will be a clash between ‘ambitions’ and ‘pride’ where Kings will be seeking a spot in the play-off race and Royals will be picking up some positivity. However, a sneak into this aristocratic face-off suggests that St Lucia Kings will be edge above than their counterparts and will inch closer to the vacant play-off spot. Chances of rain showers throughout the match may spoil the fun of run-feast and result could be filtered through Duckworth-Lewis mechanism. Toss winning team would look forward to bat first and pile-up gigantic totals around 170-180 runs.

Market Odds (As on 09:00 P.M)

Azam Khan scored a special 50 runs knock in the preceding match that was accelerated with strike rate of 166 and carries five boundaries and six over the top sixes.
