Analysis for the match.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ dramatic turn around since the resumption of year’s IPL continued as they edged their way through the eliminator to set up this match. Eoin Morgan’s side have now won six of their eight games in the UAE this year including all three fixtures they have played in Sharjah, the venue for this second qualifier. Delhi Capitals now find themselves under immense pressure to bounce back with their hopes for a second successive IPL grand final appearance now hanging in the balance. For KKR, they won’t feel any pressure as nobody expected to see them in this position. Whilst they may not boast the star names of Delhi, they are figured out how to win in these conditions in the UAE and boast a potent mix of quicker bowling and spin bowling. Add that to the form of their top order and it’s Kolkata Knight Riders who look set to reach the final here, provided they can repeat their performance levels of their last two games in Sharjah.

Must see points.

1). DC’s batting depth is a big problem and prevents its top-order from playing freely

2). KKR has played and won its previous two matches in Sharjah

3). Both teams have a dangerous bowling attack

Avg first inning score: 137 runs (9 IPL matches have been played at the venue).

Records of chasing teams.

Won - 6

Lost - 3

Tied - 0

Match Prediction: Kolkata Knight Riders to win the match.

1). If DC won the toss and opted to bowl first, KKR could score 140-150 runs.

2). If KKR won the toss and opted to bowl first, DC could score 130-140 runs.

Secondary Predictions.

1). Total sixes in the match - under 11.5

We have bet the ‘Under’ in this betting market and just kept on winning! This is exactly what we are going to do for this match as well. Not a single six was hit by RCB in the previous match played in Sharjah. DC also did not hit a single six when it played against MI in Sharjah. We are happy to take under 10.5 sixes for the odds being offered here.

2). A fifty in the match - NO

Not a single player reached fifty in the previous match that was played here between KKR and RCB. That has been the trend in Sharjah and low-scoring matches mean that it is going to be quite difficult to get past 50 in this match as well. This is a risky bet but the odds are brilliant and we recommend a small punt on it.

3). Shubman Gill total runs - Over 18.5

Shubman Gill has played with precision for the Knight Riders in the 2021 edition of the IPL. In 15 matches, the right-hander has notched 381 runs at an average of 25.40 and a strike rate of 121.72. In the previous game against RCB, he took the Knights off to a brisk start.

Match Preview.

Wednesday’s Qualifier 2 brings together Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Delhi Capitals won the group stage but have lost their last two games against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings. KKR finished 4th on net-run-rate but have won their last three games. Read on as we preview this match. The Qualifier 2 begins at 19:30 local time.

Delhi Capitals and the Kolkata Knight Riders are going to be playing against each other in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2021. DC lost its first chance to reach the IPL 2021 Final when it lost to the Chennai Super Kings while KKR got past RCB on a slow and difficult to bat on wicket.

Qualifier 2 is going to be played at Sharjah, which is where KKR won its match against RCB. The conditions in Sharjah have been difficult and we could have another close, low-scoring match to contend with.

DC’s poor record in the IPL Playoffs is something that will play on its mind while KKR will be hoping to carry the momentum it has built up in the second of IPL 2021.

Match prediction and cricket betting tips for DC vs KKR Qualifier 2 IPL 2021. The match is going to be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah on the 13th of October 2021.

DC added Tom Curran to its lineup and left itself a batsman short in our opinion. It will be interesting to see if they add someone like Sam Billings to the lineup or stick with playing just 5 batsmen essentially. That lack of depth is what forced DC to consolidate at a time when it should have been making the most of a fast start.

DC has been playing this imbalanced lineup for most of the second stint and we think they may continue to do so once more.

this is going to be a match where spin is going to play a huge role and so DC’s batting will depend on its Indian players to lead the way. Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Rishab Pant, and Shreyas Iyer are all in decent form but have just tapered off at the wrong time.

DC’s bowling attack is exceptional and one bad performance should not take away from that. Avesh Khan had a very poor night and he kept on dishing half-volleys to the batsmen. Despite that, Rabada, Nortje, Avesh, Axar, and Ashwin form a very good lineup.

Match details.

Time - Oct 13, 07:30 pm, IST.

Venue - Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah.

Pitch report.

The conditions have been slow, spin-friendly, and good for the bowlers. That is exactly what we expect in this match as well. The only time to score runs freely is during the powerplay when the ball comes onto the bat. One betting strategy that you can use is to wait till the powerplay ends and then bet ‘Under’ the projected Total Score betting markets.

Team News.

Delhi Capitals>>

Rishabh Pant’s team made one change ahead of the Qualifier 1 defeat to CSK on Sunday with middle-order batsman Ripal Patel replaced by England’s bowling all-rounder Tom Curran. The Englishman, in only this third game of the tournament, took crucial wickets. He has certainly done enough to retain his place in the XI.The wins have not materialised in the last two games but Delhi Capitals have not been far away with plenty of individuals putting in strong performances.

Possible XI - Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (C & WK), Axar Patel, Shimron Hetmyer, Tom Curran, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Avesh Khan, Anrich Nortje

Bench - Sam Billings, Ben Dwarshuis, Praveen Dubey, Kulwant Khejroliya, Lukman Meriwala, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Vishnu Vinod, Ajinkya Rahane, Marcus Stoinis, Steve Smith

Kolkata Knight Riders>>

Not only are KKR in fantastic form but they have the added benefit of playing on the sticky Sharjah wicket in each of their last two games. Players have come into form at the right time with Lockie Ferguson producing the goods with the ball on all types of pitches. If you are looking for a form team then KKR’s record of three successive wins and four from the last five is very impressive.

Possible XI - Venkatesh Iyer, Shubman Gill, Rahul Tripathi, Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan (c), Sunil Narine, Shakib Al Hasan, Dinesh Karthik, Shivam Mavi, Lockie Ferguson, Varun Chakravarthy

Bench - Karun Nair, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Ben Cutting, Pawan Negi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Tim Southee, Sheldon Jackson, Tim Seifert, Harbhajan Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Sandeep Warrier, Vaibhav Arora, Andre Russell, Prasidh Krishna
