West Indies vs India, 1st T20I: Match Prediction, Pitch Report, Probable XIs

by  Shashi Shukla  •  Last updated on 2022-07-29 12:43:23

After an exhilarating ODI series, India and West Indies are going to square off against each other in the first game of the 5 T20i series on July 29 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad. Both the teams are looking forward to a tough fight.

India, who give a splendid performance in the 50-over format and won the ODI series by a marvelous 3-0 margin, are now looking forward to maintaining the same level of consistency. Rohit Sharma will be back to lead India in the 20-over format.

The absence of key players like Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah in the shorter format - just like the ODI series - is going to be a great opportunity for the emerging players.

On the other hand, the hosts - West Indies - were blanked in the last three games and are now looking forward to a revival in their fortunes.

Match Prediction

Considering the team combination, current form, and recent marvellous wins against West Indies, India is brimming with confidence. The team is expected to have an early start in the series.

However, with both the teams being evenly matched, and considering the recent ODI series, another cracking match is definitely in the picture.
