Analysis for the match.

Oval Invincibles take on London Spirit in Match 2 of the 2022 Men’s Hundred on Thursday evening at the Kia Oval, South Longon. The Invincibles finished in fourth place, one point outside the play-off positions last season. London Spirit won only one of eight games and finished bottom of the group stage. Read on as we preview this match. The game gets underway at 18:30 local time. The second match of the Hundred 2022 season is going to be played between the Oval Invincibles and London Spirit. The Oval Invincibles finished fourth last season but seem to have some issue with the form of their leading players coming into this edition. London Spirit finished dead last in 2021 and has made a number of changes to its squad.

Will it be enough for a change in fortunes for London Spirit? The cricket betting sites still have it as the underdog heading into the opening match but the difference in odds is not as much as you might expect.

Must see point.

1). Oval Invincibles have a much stronger bowling lineup

2). London Spirit is a bit too dependent on Maxwell and Pollard for our liking

3). Oval Invincibles have more depth in their lineup

Head to Heads.

Overall Matches - 2

OVL won  - 1

LND won - 1

N/R - 0

Match Prediction: OVL to win the match.

1). If OVL won the toss and opted to bowl first, LND could score 125-145 runs.

2). If LND won the toss and opted to bowl first, OVL could score 130-150 runs.

Secondary Predictions.

1). Jason Roy total runs - under 18.5 runs.

The logic behind this bet is simple. Roy is in poor form and has been struggling all summer. We have been betting against him and will continue to do so till he shows a change in fortunes. Ride the train for as long as possible.

2). Total runs in first inning. - under 148.5 runs.

We think the Over/Under line is quite high here considering the history of the Hundred matches at this venue. The highest score recorded was 147 and so to bet Over 148.5 just does not make sense.

3). Top Batsman runs in the match - under 59.5 runs.

Once again, the Over/Under line seems to be quite high here. There were two 60 plus individual scores at the Oval last season. No one else even got past fifty so we think the odds being offered for Under 59.5 are quite attractive. Definitely worth a punt.

Match Preview.

Oval Invincibles have an excellent bowling lineup but the form of some of their batters is a concern. Jason Roy is in the middle of a terrible summer and we have bet against him on every opportunity possible so far. Sam Billings, Jack Leaning, and Jordan Cox also struggled for Kent in the T20 Blast.

This leaves a lot of the work to be done by Rilee Rossouw and Hilton Cartwright. Rossouw is our pick for the Top Batter Oval Invincibles betting market after a sustained run of brilliant form )domestic and international).

The real strength, though, comes in the form of the bowling lineup. Mohammad Hasnain, Reece Topley, Sunil Narine, and Matt Milnes could all find a place in the playing eleven. Narine is easily the trump card here and his ability to keep the runs down in the shortest formats of the game is simply unmatched.

London Spirit has added some impressive names to its squad this season starting with Glenn Maxwell and Kieron Pollard. The two T20 specialists will be the batters that London Spirit relies on to make a big impact. Zak Crawley and Dan Lawrence are both very good young batters but they have so far failed to make the step up to the next level.

London Spirit's batting lineup seems a bit shaky since Pollard is past his prime and the English batters are not the top run of players currently available in the country.

Nathan Ellis, Mason Crane, and Brad Wheal will lead the bowling lineup. This is a good bowling unit but it simply does not have the kind of skill that is available to the Oval Invincibles.

Match details.

Time - Aug 4th, 11:00 pm, IST.

Venue - Kennington Oval - London, England

Pitch reports.

The conditions in London are expected to be quite good for cricket. The forecast is for clear skies and pleasant temperatures. The pitch at the Oval is one of the best for batting in the country. The ball is going to come on to the bat nicely and the ball will rocket on the fast outfield. A high-scoring match is likely and we would not be surprised to see 140-150 being scored here.

Team News.
