Brisbane Heat Women

Brisbane Heat will lock horns against Hobart Hurricanes in the Eliminator of the Women’s Big Bash League 2022 at the Karen Rolton Oval in Adelaide on Wednesday. Brisbane Heat wrapped-up their league stage tenure with eight wins from 14 games that landed them at third position in the leaderboards. They were scheduled to clash against Melbourne Stars in their last league stage game but persistent rain called-off the game and both teams shared one point each.

Brisbane Heat have been phenomenal in the second half of the season and will be eager to keep pace with the gained momentum. The Heat will be under Catch 22 situation as their ace run scorer for WBBL 2022 Georgia Redmayne is not available for the Eliminator clash. On the batting front, the trio of Georgia Voll, Grace Harris and Amelia Kerr will be clinical in Heat’s success. Quick-gun Nicola Hancock has been phenomenal with the new ball in hand and has already claimed 22 wickets in the season so far.

Hobart Hurricanes Women

Hobart Hurricanes made a last minute entry into the playoffs line-up and will be a visible threat for Brisbane Heat. Elyse Villani-led team curtailed their league stage journey while managing to win seven out of their share of 14 games and finishing at fourth position. They played their last league stage game against Sydney Sixers where they witnessed a disappointing 8-wicket defeat. Batting first, Hurricanes were bundled out on 156 and their bowlers exhibited mediocre performance with the ball.

Hobart Hurricanes would definitely aim to pull out a comprehensive win against Heat to advance into the Challenger game against Adelaide Strikers. The Hurricanes Women are likely to field the same XI on Wednesday that featured against the Sixers Women in their last outing. Mignon Du Preez is the leading run scorer for the team and would be the leading force in the batting department. On bowling front, Molly Strano, Leggie Maisy Gibson and Nikola Carey will be the players to watch out in Wednesday’s game.

Topbets Prediction

Brisbane Heat has a strong batting line-up with a lot of players in good form and they will miss their top scorer who is not available for this match. Bowling has been their stronger suit with pace and spin bowlers performing well together. Hobart hurricanes rely heavily on Du Preez in the batting and lack a good finisher in their XI. Their spinners have been very economical, but pacers need to up their game in crucial matches. We expect Brisbane Heat to win this match.
