    There are plenty of them

Team selection is not so good , keeping kedar jadav in the team and not making him to bowl is a not a right option . In place of him we can take Manish pandey the would be different in the second match .

Kohli and team India failed in reading the pitch in the second odi . After winning the toss and we lost the match while chasing . Do you believe that NZ took zero spinners for that match . While we took two of them . That made a difference.

Absence of Rohit and dhawan showed us how important they are in these shorter format games .

I don't know why but even Kohli find it difficult to score runs on that pitches and played some really bad shots and got out .

Resting of shami is also not a gud option for team India who is very consistent in his performance . Shardul and even saini leaked many runs in crucial situations.

Overall India's performance is not that bad and we can take so many positives in that . Middle order batsmans got very good chance and proved their worth . Kl Rahul got 100 , iyer got 100 and couple of 50s, manishpandey got over 40 , that's a good sign for team India . Which can aid them in the future .

Virat kohli looked like he didn't learn any lessons from ODI white wash.He looked confident after sweeping T20 5 nil and surprisingly Indians looked over confident going into Test series. NZ have always been formidable against India in their own country and the Kiwis play according to a plan and executed them well. Southees n boults looked lost in T20 but never underestimate them in longer formats.

There has been much controversy regarding rishab pants inclusion in first test with Harsha Bhogle and others clearly unhappy with wriddhiman saha's omission surprisingly even after pant failed in 1st test got into playing eleven in 2nd as well. Its ok Mr.Kohli liked aggressive play of pant as point if his inclusion. But what about Shubman gill how long will he be a part of A teams he got a double hundred against NZA.

Firmly of the opinion that pujara and rahane are an indispensable part of Test squad and their contributions to India's test success is as huge as kohli. Immediately after 1st test loss kohli blamed pujara of slow scoring but it was Pujara's batting that helped India win its 1st test series away in Australia. Kohli scores huge when pujara or Rahane hold one end tight. Kohli doesn't have the passion that kane williamson has but he has unnecessary aggression. Its kohli aggression that is hurting TeamIndia.

Okay. Kohli can say whatever he wants about ODIs being relevant or irrelevant this year, but he can't deny the fact that this is probably going to be the core team of the T20 side as well. This is going to have an impact on their mentality as well. Even after winning the t20s 5–0, India has lost the Odi series 3–0.Tells us about the bounce back ability of the New Zealand team aswell as the Vulnerability of the Indian Team.

First lets me mention what positive things that happened for India in this series.

    1. It was in early 2017, where the debate of No. 4 started and I guess there should be no more debates on it for some years now. Shreyas Iyer has cemented his spot for now and looks like a player who will play for many years for India at no.4. Hopefully.

    2. KL Rahul, the Batsman has finally did justice to his talent and his part time talent of wicket keeping has give him and opportunity to do justice to the balance of the team. People are saying a lot that he should not be playing at no5 and should be opening instead. But at what cost? Rohit and Dhawan have been doing brilliantly for the country for the last 7 years and still have a few years to give also the experimentation with Rishabh Pant has not given any results at all in the middle. Rahul brings in the perfect balance to the team. He has the game to play attacking shots from the word go like he did in the First Odi and also to graft a big innings if the team is in trouble, like he did today. So there should not be any more changes in his position in ODIs for now.

    3. Ravindra Jadeja, the allrounder. I guess Sanjay Manjerekar has contributed a lot to the Indian team via twitter compared to what he did when he played for India. First he said some shit about Kohli when he was beginning, then last year during the World Cup he said about Jadeja and we know how that has been going. Jadeja has become a dependable Batsman down the order and in this series he has been bowling really well aswell. He hardly gives away runs and picks up those crucial wickets in the middle.

So yes, these were the only positives that i could find from the series.

Now lets talk about the reasons why India failed in this series.

    1. The Opening Problem . The team dearly missed the services of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhwan at the top. Team didn't get any good starts and that really didn't help the team’s cause. While on the other hand New Zealand’s openers gave great starts to the team in every game. A lot less pressure on the middle order. Its true that Mayank and Shaw were playing their first series but still you can't overlook this fact that India never got good starts.

    2. Virat Kohli the Batsman . Kohli hasn't been his usual self in 2020. He scored two fifties against Australia and One in the First Odi this series but hasn't converted any of his fifties into a hundred. He scored only 75 runs in this series and that is also one of the reasons why New Zealand won the series.

    3. The Fielding . Over the last decade or so India have gone leaps and bounds in the fielding department but seems like the old habit of lazyness on the field is creeping back in. Apart from Jadeja, Pandey and Kohli, everyone else seems to lack intensity. And easy runs only eases the pressure on the opposition.

    4. The curious case of Bumrah. I guess it was bound to happen one day, where Bumrah would go through a lean patch. Since his comeback, he has only picked 1 wicket in the Odi format and the Batsman have played him out with ease. Although in the t20s apart from that one match where Williamson took a liking to him, he looked like his previous self, but in Odis he has looked flat and not threatening at all.

    5. The Bowling. The main reason why India lost the match as well as the series. This was the same bowling unit in the T20s as well but in Odis the story is different. Apart form Chahal and Jadeja, no one else has look like picking up wickets. Bumrah has lost his mojo.Saini has looked good in patches but has lack of control. And what do i say about Mr. Thakur. I see no logic behind his selection in the squad. How can he be an International level bowler? He has no control, Even Hardik Pandya looks a Better “Fast bowler” in comparison to him. Whenever New Zealand needed a big over, Shardul was quick to give it to them. 80+ runs in the first Odi, 60 in the second and 83 today. I just don't want to put all the blame on him but i can't help it.

You can't win Matches if u have 2 bowlers giving away more than a rate of 8 runs per over. But to be really honest New Zealand has looked a far better side. They didn't have their best bowling line up, still they were good with their line and lengths and were gun on the field. They have always been a side with limitations but they know how to play and win with the limitations.

It hurts to see such a performance form the Indian side, but have to give it to New Zealand for bouncing back as they did.
