Venkatesh Iyer is one of the finest young all-round talent available for team India out there. Don’t you think that BCCI should groom him the way ECB has bring out the potential in Ben Stokes?

To groom Venkatesh Iyer like Ben Stokes first of all he needs to be allowed to bowl at the international stage. Batting is the thing I feel he will anyways manage.

Meanwhile, in every match, he should bowl at least two overs, then only he can be called as Hardik Pandya replacement, otherwise, there is no use of Iyer in the team. He will anyways not get to showcase his batting skills considering India's top-order batting unit is filled with exceptionally talented players.

India promoted him at number 3 in the last match and I feel it's fine because he needs to get international exposure. Not like Ben Stokes but he can definitely become like Mitchell Marsh.

In the first two games, Venkatesh Iyer should have bowled because Deepak Chahar performed poor in both games and Bhuvi was out of form in the second one. Many say dew was the reason he was not given the ball which makes no sense to me because, if he wants to become a proper all-Rounder he needs to bowl in any type of conditions and when Deepak Chahar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are getting smashed it becomes even more important for Venkatesh Iyer to bowl.
