You are absolutely correct
He is under estimated a tad bit, not only by his team and teammates, but also by Indian cricket fans.
He is considered sixth amongst Indian pacers in overseas conditions.
He is counted after Bumrah, Shami, Siraj, Ishant, Umesh in pure bowling talent terms in the pecking order.
He got his place in the team as a fourth seamer, and that too ahead of Ishant and Umesh just because of his batting capabilities.
But he has repaid the faith that the team management has shown in him.
He isn’t express pace and hence not your typical fast bowler poster boy.
All he has, is his hard work, his cricketing acumen and the attitude to be the best that he can be.
A natural out-swing bowler, he runs to the crease and hits the deck hard to extract any help being offered from the pitch.
He uses the crease cleverly, and bowls from close as well as wide of the stumps to create diffucult angles for the batsmen.
His see-ball hit-ball approach has fetched him three half-centuries in eight Test innings.
His handy lower order batting has acted in his favour to seal a place in the playing eleven.
