Arshdeep Singh performed excellently in his short T20I tenure and is offering third pace option in the middle overs. Do you think that Arshdeep Singh deserves a fair chance in the T20 World Cup 2022? Or is it too early for a debutant?

By new bowlers, I suppose the likes of Avesh Khan, Mohammad Siraj, Harshal Patel, Umran Malik and other new bowlers, who have been in the Indian side lately.

Arshdeep Singh is obviously the better option than the above mentioned ones. People might argue for Harshal Patel. But Arshdeep Singh doesn't give away runs easily, as compared to Harshal, Avesh, Umran and Siraj, who at times become predictable.

The predictability factor in Arshdeep is almost nascent. He mixes up his deliveries well. He has good run up and doesn't often gets injured. Him being a left arm pacer also adds variety to the lineup.

He has an amazing yorker. He can be a good death bowler for India, which might allow Bumrah to bowl in powerplay and be a wicket taking option. The duo of Bhuvaneshwar and Bumrah at the top would solve India's problem lack of wicket takers in powerplay overs, which was one of the main reasons for India's failure in 2021 T20 World cup.

If I were to pick a XI, I would've found it difficult to pick my third pacer. But given the abilities possessed by Arshdeep and given that the tournament would be happening in Australia, I would've had him as the third pacer in my XI.
