Rohit Sharma was recently trending on social media and it emerges that some Indian domestic player has broken Rohit’s record of 264 ODI runs in a single inning. Can someone please share with me the name of player who has achieved this feat?

Well, the record of Rohit Sharma who hit 264 runs in a single ODI inning was certainly broken, but not at the international level. It was Narayan Jagdeesan who broke this record in the Vijay Hazare trophy at the List A level and scored 277 runs in just 141 balls the inning with 25 fours and 15 sixes. Of course no record is safe at any level but Rohit Sharma’s record is something that occurs only about once in a decade and Narayan Jagdeesan made it possible in the ongoing Vijay Hazare trophy. He now has the record for the highest score in 50 over cricket and piled as many as 416 runs for the first wicket with Sai Sudarshan.

Even the opener Sai Sudarshan hit 154 runs out of 102 balls and the team piled a massive 506 runs in the quota of 50 overs. I do not know it but this could be a world record as well in 50 overs. And after being released by CSK from the IPL, Narayan Jagdeesan certainly showed that has great hitting capabilities. He might get a huge IPL contract very soon. And besides, he could be a good prospect for the Indian cricket team as well.
